First International Sale!

Well I made my first sale (to someone I didn't personally know) a few days ago and was so excited! But this morning I made my first international sale!

Slept all night with my phone on loud since my hubby had a 24hr duty post on base and I was supposed to pick him up, and around 5am my phone makes this "cha-ching" sound and I recognize that as a "you've made a sale" sound! I check my phone and see an order from someone in the UK! They purchased one of my "Bones" inspired Jeffersonian lab notebooks! After picking up the hubby a few hours later I rushed to grab my "shipping" supplies and got to work making my journal packaging look all pretty. I have seen really nice "parcel packaging" styles like what I tried to mimic, just don't have all the supplies yet. I'd love to get little tags to write a "Thank You" note for my buyers, in this case a Bones journal might have a "toe-tag" but I have yet to purchase them. After I try to make it look all pretty I slip it into a padded envelope so the "nice" packaging doesn't get ruined.

How do you package your items when you make a sale? I'd love to know how to make my packaging look a little nicer, thoughts? Ideas? I love seeing what others do, comment below! :)

Still only have 4 sales since I've opened shop, each sale makes me excited to keep designing and selling!

  1. Your packaging is great! I think it really fits with the product you're selling. :) It's so difficult to feel like you're getting it right though, I'm forever changing the way I package mine, never satisfied. Congrats on the international sale! x
